Tigers Roll Past Clarke

The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) Boys Basketball team opened their postseason in dominant fashion, securing a commanding 89-25 victory over Clarke Community in the first round of the Class 3A Substate tournament.

The Tigers wasted no time asserting their dominance, jumping out to a 10-0 lead to set the tone early. By the end of the first quarter, ADM had built a solid 22-9 advantage. The second quarter saw an even more impressive performance, as the Tigers erupted for 27 points while holding Clarke to just five. By halftime, ADM had an overwhelming 49-14 lead.

With the game well in hand, the Tigers rotated their lineup in the second half, allowing bench players to gain valuable postseason experience. ADM continued to build on their lead, outscoring Clarke 18-8 in the third quarter to extend the margin to 67-22. The Tigers closed out the game strong, adding another 22 points in the fourth quarter to seal the 89-25 victory.

Junior Hudson Lorensen led ADM's scoring effort with an impressive 24 points. Senior Wyatt Schweiger and junior Hudson Shull each contributed nine points to the victory. 

Clarke Community concludes their season with a 5-17 record, while ADM improves to 19-4 as they advance to the second round. The Tigers will host Grinnell on Thursday at 7 p.m. in Adel.
