Tigers Dominate Marshalltown in Home Opener

ADEL, IA – April 7, 2025
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn (ADM) Girls Soccer Team earned their first victory of the 2025 season in emphatic fashion Monday night, shutting out previously unbeaten Marshalltown 10-0 in front of a home crowd. The win marks a milestone for new head coach Rachel Harada, who celebrated her first career victory with the Tigers.

Playing their first home game of the year, ADM wasted no time setting the tone. The Tigers came out with intensity and precision, putting six goals on the scoreboard in the first half alone. They didn't let up after the break, adding four more in the second half to complete the dominant performance.

Standout Performances

Leading the offensive charge was senior Jada Grove, who found the net five times and added an assist, showcasing her versatility and scoring instincts.

Senior Hannah Desmarais put in an impressive shift as well, racking up two goals and five shots on goal to keep constant pressure on the Marshalltown defense.

Rowan Crowell, a freshmena, contributed with two assists and a pair of shots on goal, providing the leadership and playmaking ADM needed to stay aggressive throughout the match.

Looking Ahead

Now standing at 1-2 on the season after opening losses to Norwalk and North Polk, the Tigers aim to build on this momentum as they face Des Moines Christian at home on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM.
